The curriculum workshop for the new academic year 2017 - 2018

To implement key tasks in the academic year 2017 - 2018 about quality assurance of education and training at Nam Dinh University of Nursing (NDUN), on 30th May 2017 the curriculum workshop for the new academic year 2017 - 2018 was organized in Thai Nguyen. 

       At the workshop there were Dr. Le Thanh Tung - Rector of NDUN; members of management board, the Union, and the Youth Union; leaders of Faculties, Offices, Departments, Library, Center; and people in charge of documents of faculties and departments.

Overview of the workshop

After the opening speech of the Rector, there were reports with the following topics: teaching and learning plans for university and college level in the academic year 2017 - 2018 and some measures to implement; teaching and learning plans for postgraduate level in the academic year 2017 - 2018 and some measures to implement; testing, learners' ability-based evaluation, and some measures to implement in the academic year 2017 - 2018; pre-clinical and clinical management and teaching for students in the orientation of developing capacity.

Dr. Tran Van Long - Head of Postgraduate training office presented his report on postgraduate training

Nguyen Manh Dung, MSc - Director of the Center for Testing and Educational quality assurance presented his report on Testing and Educational quality assurance

Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Chinh - Director of the Center for Preclinical Practice presented her report on teaching preclinical practice

After the reports, Dr. Le Thanh Tung chaired the discussion of the workshop. Members of management board, and leaders of Faculties, Offices, Departments were eager to contribute their ideas and suggest solutions for the best implementation of teaching and learning plan. This year the discussions focused on solutions to improve practical teaching and student management at teaching hospitals. Enlarging teaching hospitals; enhancing the cooperation between Hospital and University; and inceasing numbers of staffs at Hospitals invloving teaching and managing students at Hospitals. In addition, syllabus and training curriculum were discussed in the orientation of checking and supplementing periodically; increasing practical time for NDUN students and learners about knowledge and skills.

Dr. Cao Thi Thu Huong - Vice Head of Nutrition Department, Public Health Faculty presented her speech at the workshop

After listening to the ideas for the discussion, summarized and directed conclusions were pointed out by the Rector. NDUN departments developed detail plans for each assigned task. Then the plans should be completed and approved before 30th June, 2017. And all departments should cooperate to implement the teaching and learning plans for the academic year 2017 - 2018.

The workshop ended in absolute confidence in the high consensus of all delegates. All activities for the academic year 2017-2018 are hoped to be implemented under the plan for the successful results.
