       Pursuant to the official dispatch of MOH Department of International Cooperation on organizing the ưorkshop and working plan of experts under the HEP project - British Council at Nam Dinh University of Nursing; implementing NDUN plan of organizing the training on wound care, from 3rd - 4th April 2023, the training course on wound care was held at Nam Dinh General Hospital by NDUN in coordination with Nam Dinh General Hospital Dinh with the purpose of sharing professional knowledge about wound care with NDUN lecturers and nurses at Nam Dinh General Hospital.

       Attending the training course there were 5 HEP project experts - British Council: Prof. Joy Notter, Professor. Chris Carter, Professor. Steve Jeffery, Professor. David Gray, Professor. Keiron Michael Ronan. On the side of Nam Dinh General Hospital there was Mr. Phan Duc Lap - Deputy Director and 06 nurses. On the side of Nam Dinh University of Nursing, there was Dr. Truong Tuan Anh - Rector; Dr. Ngo Huy Hoang - Vice Rector; Dr. Mai Thi Lan Anh - Head of International Cooperation Department, Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Chinh - Director of Center for pre-clinical practice and 24 lecturers from Faculties of Nursing - Midwifery, Clinical Medicine and Center for pre-clinical practice.

       The content of the training course included Wound Care and Sepsis.

       About wound care: experts shared knowledge about principles of wound identification and assessment; practice and observation of how to identity and evaluate different wounds (surgical wounds, traumatic wounds, wounds caused by ulcers, pressure, etc.); care for patients with wounds; principles of wound dressing; practice and observation of how to bandage different wounds.

       About Sepsis: participants are shared the ways of preventing, recognizing and managing Sepsis; clinical assessment and tools used in sepsis.

       NDUN lecturers and the nurses at Nam Dinh General Hospital enjoyed the content of the training course. They were proactive in asking questions, exchanging and sharing professional experiences with experts about problems in caring for patients with wounds... The information obtained through the training course would help participants update and consolidate their knowledge for the quality of patient care.
