Nam Dinh University of Nursing welcomed a delegation of lecturers and students from Baylor University, USA

       From 24th - 27thMay 2023, a delegation of lecturers and students from Baylor University, USA visited NDUN and Nam Dinh Province Traditional Medicine Hospital to exchange experiences on basic principles in traditional medicine.

       Baylor University is a private Christian University and a nationally ranked research institution. The University provides a vibrant campus community for more than 18,000 students by blending interdisciplinary research with an international reputation for educational excellence and a faculty commitment to teaching and scholarship. Chartered in 1845 by the Republic of Texas through the efforts of Baptist pioneers, Baylor is the oldest continually operating University in Texas. Located in Waco, Baylor welcomes students from all 50 states and more than 90 countries to study a broad range of degrees among its 12 nationally recognized academic divisions.

       At the meeting at NDUN, there was Dr. Ngo Huy Hoang – Vice Rector; management board; Leaders of Clinical Medicine Faculty, Traditional Medicine Department and International Cooperation Department.

       Dr. Ngo Huy Hoang - Vice Rector welcomed the delegation and emphasized the role of the cooperative relationship with Baylor University in the construction and development of NDUN in recent years. Dr. Ngo Huy Hoang assessed that the relationship between Vietnam and the United States has developed very well in many areas of social life, including education in order to bring great benefits to society and people who can get the results of cooperation programs.

       After the official ceremony, a cultural exchange session took place between students of the two schools to create opportunities for NDUN students to improve their ability to practice foreign language. This also promoted students from both countries to exchange and introduce their countries, culture, food, and people. At this time experiences in extracurricular activities to support learners would be exchanged and shared.

       On 26th May 2023, Baylor University delegation visited Nam Dinh Province Traditional Medicine Hospital to learn about the basic principles of traditional medicine. Here, students from both universities have the opportunity to learn and exchange many experiences in professional work.

       The visit of Baylor University delegation to NDUN was a great success. This was an opportunity for lecturers and students of the two universities to exchange, learn, and share experiences in learning and research. It is hoped that through this program, the connection between the two universities will become stronger.
