Ceremony of Graduation Thesis Defense for full-time university students (the 15th nursing course)

       On 27th June 2023, a ceremony of Graduation Thesis Defense for full-time university students (the 15th nursing course) was held at NDUN. 

       A graduation thesis is a scientific research project for university students. Students will choose a scientific research topic, create a scientific research outline for a graduation thesis. The purpose of the graduation thesis is to help students demonstrate their ability and in-depth understanding of their major; systematize the knowledge they have learned to include it in their graduation thesis, applying inherent skills such as information searching skills and presentation skills to to do scientific research and create outlines in the most creative and scientific way. After completing the graduation thesis, students will develop sharp thinking, the ability to search for information and solve problems sensitively and independently; to cultivate and consolidate all the knowledge they have learned into practice; to strengthen their confidence and readiness to participate in the labor market. The graduation thesis is used as a tool to reassess students' theoretical knowledge and application skills after studying at NDUN. In addition, the thesis also helps students 

Dr. Ngo Huy Hoang - NDUN Vice Rector, Chairman of the Graduation Thesis Council delivered his speech at the opening ceremony

       Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Ngo Huy Hoang - NDUN Vice Rector congratulated the students on completing successfully their study program and being qualified to defend their graduation theses. He hoped that that the students will have their good performance.

       The Graduation Thesis Council consists of 5 members who are NDUN lecturers with great experiences and expertise.

       Seven nursing students defended their topics successfully before the Council. For each topic, students presented a summary of the research results within, then the Council members commented and evaluated the topic; asked questions to clarify the research content and evaluated students' professional capacity.

       The graduation thesis defense session was held solemnly, the Council worked seriously and they are equal in analyzing and evaluating the topics. In general, the topics are creative, new, logic. They have theoretical significance and practical application. The success of this thesis defense is an affirmation for the nursing training quality at Nam Dinh University of Nursing.

       Besides the results, the Council members also pointed out some shortcomings and limitations of the research topics. On that basis, students need to edit their thesis before submitting to NDUN.

       The success is from efforts of the students during their time studying and practicing at NDUN, their instructors, and NDUN staff.
