The 6th Congress of NDUN Trade Union – term 2023 - 2028

          Implementing the Plans and Guidelines of Vietnam National Union of Health Workers on organizing Trade Union Congress at grassroot level for the term 2023-2028, on 6th January 2023, the 6th Congress of NDUN Trade Union – term 2023 - 2028 was solemnly held at NDUN. This is the sample congress of the emulation team No. 6 including the Trade Union of Universities and Colleges under Vietnam National Union of Health Workers.

        Attending the Congress, on the side of guests, there were invited delegates from Vietnam National Union of Health Workers, Nam Dinh Labor Confederation, Nam Dinh Union of Health Workers; delegates from Universities and Colleges Unions of the emulation team No. 6 under Vietnam National Union of Health Workers. On the side of NDUN, there was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Tung - Chairman of NDUN Council; Dr. Truong Tuan Anh - NDUN Rector; members in NDUN Party Committee, NDUN Council, NDUN management board, the Secretary of the Youth Union, leaders of NDUN departments and 149 delegates who are NDUN Trade Union members.

       In order to run the Congress, the delegates elected the Presidium, the Secretariat and the Committee to verify the delegate status of the Congress.

        The reports of NDUN Executive Committee Trade Union, term 2017-2022 at the Congress include: Summary report on trade union activities for the term 2017-2022 and orientation for the term 2023-2028; Review report of the Executive Committee of Trade Union, term 2017-2022; Summary report about comments on draft documents. There were important presentations; the directives of the leaders of the superior trade union and NDUN leaders.

       Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Vu Anh Tuan - Vice Chairman of Vietnam National Union of Health Workers emphasized that in order to successfully achieve the goals in the new term, NDUNTrade Union should promote the emulation movement among all union members; renovate forms and modes of operation to gather the participation of a large number of trade union members for the consensus on cooperation and sharing; stick movement activities to professional activities; organize practical and effective activities to support trade union members in learning, entertainment, and health training; strengthen political education, lifestyle ethics, working style, working style to arouse the aspiration for dedication and legal enrichment; promote internal resources; gather a team of highly qualified intellectuals, lecturers and managers with extensive experience in teaching to join hands in implementing and speeding up the renovation of curriculum materials for students' learning and study; join hands in implementing NDUN digital transformation program; diversify activities; take care of the legitimate interests of trade union members; renovate the trade union's social activities in the direction of ensuring social security rights, etc.

       Speaking at the Congress, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Tung - Chairman of NDUN Council highly appreciated the efforts and achievements of NDUN Trade Union Executive Committee as well as the trade union members. He suggested that the new Trade Union Executive Committee should pay attention to the theme of the academic year and consider it to be a key activity in changing the consciousness of trade union members. In addition, trade union members need to be more aware of their responsibilities and obligations when joining the trade union.

        Personnel for the 6th NDUN Trade Union Executive Committee, term 2023 - 2028 was selected after the norminants were approved by the congress. 11  Executive Committee members were elected. Delegates attending superior trade union congress were selected.

        Thus, the 5th NDUN Trade Union, term 2017 - 2022 finished their tasks successfully. Hopefully, the members of NDUNTrade Union Executive Board for the term 2023 - 2028 would try harder in their work to meet the trust and choice of the Trade Union members and make NDUN trade union develop more stably and strongly.
