Dr. Truong Tuan Anh - NDUN Rector delivered his speech at the ceremony

       On 26th October 2022 the opening ceremony of the new academic year 2022 - 2023 was solemnly held at Nam Dinh University of Nursing.

Overview of the ceremony

       Attending the opening ceremony of the new academic year, on the side of the guests, there were representatives from Nam Dinh Department of Education and Training, Nam Dinh Department of Health, Nam Dinh Department of Science and Technology; medical institutions; Internal Political Security Department - Nam Dinh Police; Thai Binh University of Medicine and Pharmacy; sponsors. On the side of Nam Dinh University of Nursing, there was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thanh Tung - Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of NDUN Council; Dr. Truong Tuan Anh - NDUN Rector; members of the Party Committee, management board, Trade Union,  Youth Union; Heads and Deputy Heads of Faculties, Divisions, Centers, Libraries, Departments; staffs and learners, students.

       At the beginning of the ceremony, Dr. Vu Van Thanh - NDUN Vice Rector read the letter of the President of the State sent to the education sector on the occasion of the opening of the new academic year 2022 - 2023.

       Then the ceremony was followed by the opening speech and the drum made by Dr. Truong Tuan Anh - NDUN Rector. In his speech, he reviewed 62 years of building and growing up proudly that NDUN staffs and students experienced. Over the years, NDUN has affirmed its prestige and quality of training medical human resources at university and post-graduate levels  in the system of medical and pharmaceutical universities nationwide and international integration based on the the attention of the Party and State, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education and Training, Nam Dinh Province and departments in Nam Dinh province; the solidarity and consensus of NDUN staffs, lecturers, students.  

       Regarding the results achieved in the academic year 2021-2022, the tasks were successfully completed; the set goals were achieved; many innovative and flexible measures in teaching were implemented; the quality of lecturers was improved; professional knowledge and skills for students were focused to meet output standards; scientific research activities are actively and effectively participated in; an external assessment for NDUN midwifery training program at university level was completed; self-assessment for the master nursing program was completed; effective use of capital sources to invest in facilities and improve service quality was well mobilized; scholarships for students were set up; welfare funds were developed to improve NDUN staffs' life. All kinds of NDUN activities were achieved high results including: staff training, training, enrollment, textbooks, scientific research, facilities, Covid-19 epidemic control.

       In the new academic year, the following things will be focused on: high-quality and specialized human resources; training closely associated with the needs of the labor market; the autonomy and accountability of higher education institutions. The theme for the new academic year is "innovation - creativity - combination" in order to strengthen discipline and order in teaching and learning; improve training quality and effectiveness of scientific and technological activities,  the capacity of competitiveness; strengthen and enhance NDUN position inside and outside the country.

       The Rector wished that all NDUN staffs, lecturers, learners, students and especially new students would implement the following solutions to successfully carry out the tasks of the academic year 2022– 2023: maintaining solidarity, promoting democracy, strengthening discipline; innovating and improving the quality of management; improving training quality, innovating teaching methods in the direction of professional capacity, promoting intensive training; successfully opening the specialized training program of midwifery, Grade I; completing the external assessment for the master nursing training program; strengthening scientific research among staffs and lecturers, supporting learners and students in scientific research to make science and technology a key activity for NDUN development; strengthening international cooperation to make use of resources and projects to serve NDUN activities; striving to complete basically the infrastructure for the operation of the hospital.

       On behalf of NDUN Party Committee, management board, Dr. Truong Tuan Anh - NDUN Rector sent his most sincere thanks to the leaders of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Education and Training, Nam Dinh province, Nam Dinh departments; agencies and organizations from central to local level  for their have direction, help, and conditions for NDUN to complete successfully its assigned tasks; to universities, colleges, professional secondary schools, institutes and hospitals inside and outside the province for their constant coordination and cooperation with NDUN in training and research in recent years; to agencies, businesses, organizations and individuals for their sponsor to NDUN activities over the years; to NDUN staffs and learners, students for their best efforts to build NDUN more and more strongly. In particular, he sent his best greetings and congratulations to the new learners and students who passed the entrance examination to NDUN.

       After his speech, the Rector hit the drum to welcome the new academic year 2022-2023 along with the applause of the participants atending the ceremony.

       Sponsors that have a cooperative relationship with NDUN awarded scholarships to NDUN students who overcome difficulties to study well.
