NDUN delegation with the spirit of volunteerism and professional knowledge will be a leading force in Covid-19 control in Bac Giang in cooperation with doctors from other hospitals.

There are strong sollutions and manpower to support Bac Giang as follows:

5 strong sollutions

1. Follow the distancing. The special standing division of the Ministry of Health and the province re-evaluated the risks of all districts, not only the 4 districts that are isolated under the Directive No.16.

2. Trace thoroughly. For all cases of outbreaks in the community, strictly follow the principles of tracing, isolating, stamping out, treating. No F1 cases are left out.

3. Areas with many workers such as My Dien, Nui Hieu, Trung Dong... must be frozen.  The centralized isolation for these areas should be applied and it will be expanded to other areas if there are many workers and risk factors.
4. COVID-19 teams in the community should be re-organized. They should go to each alley, knock at each house and check each person.

5. Clean the environment through multi-loop test as the chain of infection can not stop without being cleaned up by testing and imposed centralized isolation.

More than 20.000 are ready to support Bac Giang

Currently, the testing capacity in Bac Giang province is 17,000 samples/day, but in the current situation, experts propose to organize teams of 5 people for sampling and data entry. In epidemic areas, it is possible to organize 100-200 sampling points and transfer tests by rapid antigen testing technique to speed up the return of results. This is a widespread "scanning" measure for case screening.

Regarding the scenario fot the current situation, Bac Giang has a plan if there are 3,000 patients. The treatment facilities are now able to meet the number of detected patients. Severe patients are transferred to the newly established 58-bed intensive care unit (but only 14 beds are fully equipped with intensive treatment equipment).

The next step is to implement more strongly the distancing in medical isolation areas to prevent cross-contamination. If a series of measures are implemented, the situation in Bac Giang can be controlled.

The Minister of Health has ordered medical schools across the country to prepare their forces with more than 20,000 people. They will be co-ordinated and trained by MOH Department of Science, Training and Technology to support Bac Giang to replace the current force fighting the epidemic in the province.
