    PREVINF is the Project that capacitates Asia’s Nursing Students on Innovative and Sustainable Prevention and Control of Healthcare-associated Infections funded by the European Union's Eramus + Program.

       PREVINF was developed with the goal of building a model of infection control widely applicable throughout Asia. NDUN, as one of the coordinating units of the project in Vietnam, has actively implemented and participated in developing the project's work packages. This makes NDUN and other members in the project be able to grasp quickly the common work and push the project to meet its progress and overcome difficulties caused by the Covid-19 epidemic.

       Online meeting to kick off the PrevInf Project (kick off meeting - KOM) was taken place from 3rd - 5th February, 2021. It is essential for NDUN to carry out immediately the activities of Project PREVINF to bring value from the project to the participants as well as to NDUN students. With the social gap caused by the Covid-19 epidemic, the meetings was taken place on the Zoom platform with the participation of 06 partners from Portugal, Finland, Vietnam and Cambodia.

       The content of the meetings focused on introducing and guiding the work packages of the project. After interesting discussions at each meeting, the members of the project reached an agreement, a general understanding of the project's activities and committed to implement quickly  and complete the project on schedule.

       The PREVINF project was developed to enhance the capacity of nursing students at nursing facilities in Asia related to control hospital infections as well as manage of the use of common antibiotics through the development of the Partners' current nursing curriculum. Specific objectives include the assessment and update of learning objectives, curriculum content, teaching and learning methods, and teaching facilities.

       The end result of PREVINF Project is the publication of a PrevInf E-Book integrating the project's key results. The PrevInf eBook is a digital book designed for nursing teachers and students to get the most benefits from the PrevInf Model. The PrevInf e-book will be constituted by four core areas: 1) The Key Principles of the PrevInf Model; 2) PrevInf Model Good Practice Guidance in Hospital Infection Control and Management of Antibiotic Use; 3) Innovative Pedagogical Strategies of the PrevInf Model and 4) Simulation scenarios for achieving and / or developing nursing skills in the field. This book will hhave the free access. Information is avalable at the project website and / or through the InovSafeCare community.

       In Vietnam, there are 02 universities participating in the project, including: Nam Dinh University of Nursing (NDUN) and Hai Duong Medical Technical University (HMTU).
