       Implement NDUN plan No. 623 / KH-ĐDN dated 11th March 2020 on organizing the program "Nam Dinh University of Nursing joins hands to act against plastic waste"; implement the direction of NDUN Party Committee, management board on the fight against plastic waste to protect the environment and respond to climate change, on 28th September 2020 the program "Exchange paper and plastic waste for trees" was organized at NDUN by NDUN Trade Union, Youth Union, and Student Association with the aim of raising community awareness in protecting resources nature and the environment; spreading love among people; fundraising for voluntery programs, and helping difficult situations.

 

       Attending and encouraging this meaningful program there were members in NDUN management board; Trade Union, Youth Union, Student Association; NDUN staffs and students.

 

       On 28th September 2020, the organizers of the program received used paper, packaging, plastic waste, cans, electronic devices, batteries ... NDUN staffs and students exchange for trees.

 

      After 28th September 2020, the program continues from 8:00 '- 10:30' on 26th October, 30th November, and 28th December 2020 at NDUN tennis course.

 

The school's staff members, students and students can accumulate points many times to achieve the desired number of stars and trees.

     Convertible recyclable waste will be classified for different purposes, such as:

 

     - Textbooks, magazines and comic books will be given to children in mountainous areas with difficult circumstances;

 

     - Plastic bottles and jars will be reused as bonsai pots;

 

     - The non-reusable cartons and plastic will be sold to buy more trees, maintain funding for the next exchange, and support students in difficult circumstances in the trip “Warm clothes for the high land” in the near future.

 

     In addition, damaged batteries and electronic equipment are collected by the program with the main purpose of minimizing the harmful effects to the environment.

 

       Participating in the event, NDUN staffs and students can protect the environment and our lives, and share good things to many difficult lives.
