In the past Uncle Ho cared for all aspects of social life. He also paid attention to the environment and understood the practical meaning of living environment. He then encouraged the entire people to actively plant trees to make the country more green, more beautiful and more livable. Therefore, throughout the country, there is a holiday whenever the spring comes - Holiday of planting tress. This recalls us the advice of our beloved Uncle Ho:

"Spring is for planting trees.

This makes our country more and more beautiful."

On November 28th, 1959 President Ho Chi Minh launched the holiday of planting trees with the desire: In ten years, our country would have more beautiful scenery, cooler climate and more trees. This would make a significant contribution to improve the people's lives. He also advised the next generation:"For the sake of ten years we have to plant trees. For the sake of a hundred years we have to bring up people." Respond to his call, planting trees annualy in the Spring has become a good custom of our people. This custom has also become a good lifestyle for teachers and students of Nam Dinh University of Nursing when everyone participates in planting trees in the Spring.

Assoc. Prof. Le Thanh Tung, PhD - Rector of NDUN ; Dr. Do Dinh Xuan - Former Rector of NDUN; members in the management board; former members in the management board; and staffs of NDUN attended the holiday of planting trees in the Spring of 2018

On March 16th, 2018 - The traditional day of NDUN, the members in the Party Committee, the management board, the former leaders of NDUN in the past years, and NDUN representatives of departments planted green trees in the campus to remind NDUN staffs and students to protect the green-clean-beautiful environment.

At the same time, response to NDUN movement of planting trees and on the occasion of the 87th anniversary of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (26th Mar 1931 - 26th Mar 2018), members of NDUN Youth Union were called for cleaning the environment around the school and planting trees to preserve the ecological environment in the place where they live and protect the "green-clean-beautiful"environment.
