Prof.Dr. Nguyen Viet Tien - Deputy Minister of Health delivered his speech at the ceremony

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Deputy Minister Nguyen Viet Tien said that gender violence and children violence cause severe harm to families and society, especially they affect psychological psychology and spirit of women and children. He said that our Party and State have paid much attention to the prevention and control of domestic violence by developing the policies, direct and indirect laws such as: Law on domestic violence; Law on Gender Equality; Law on Marriage and Family; Law on Children Protection, Care and Education...and other guiding documents. This has created important legal frameworks for developing models and organizing measures for more effective prevention. Although we have implemented plans, advocacy programs, propaganda, high feasible solutions, the results are modest: "Every year, there are tens of thousands of cases involved in domestic violence."
